Activated Alumina Manufacturer & Supplier

Activated alumina is a porous, high-surface-area aluminium oxide adsorbent that attracts water and polar impurities. It dries compressed air and industrial gases, protects molecular sieve beds, and removes fluoride and arsenic from drinking water.

We supply desiccant, defluoridation and arsenic-removal grades as 1–2, 2–3, 3–5 and 4–6 mm balls, in stock sizes or to your specification.

Guangzhou Core Adsorbent: 10+ years of experience, a 10,000 m² ISO-certified factory in Henan and 10,000 t annual capacity — factory-direct supply and OEM.

Which Activated Alumina grade do you need?

Choose the desiccant grade for air and gas drying and the fluoride- or arsenic-removal grades for water treatment; in air separation units and gas dryers, a top layer of activated alumina protects the molecular sieve below.

GradeKey propertyTypical use
Desiccant gradeHigh water capacity, regenerable by heatCompressed air dryers, gas and liquid drying
Fluoride removal gradeSelective fluoride adsorption, regenerableDrinking water defluoridation
Arsenic removal gradeAdsorbs arsenate; arsenite after pre-oxidationWell water and municipal treatment

Where is Activated Alumina used?

Activated alumina is used wherever moisture must be removed from air or gas, or fluoride and arsenic must be removed from water.

How is Activated Alumina manufactured and tested?

We make activated alumina in our own Henan plant — calcination, ball forming, activation and screening — and test each lot before it ships with a COA.

  • Flash calcination — aluminium hydroxide converted to active alumina powder.
  • Ball forming — rolled into balls of 1–2, 2–3, 3–5 and 4–6 mm.
  • Activation — aged and calcined to develop pore structure and surface area.
  • Lot testing — crush strength, surface area, water adsorption, attrition, and fluoride capacity for water grades.
  • Capacity and quality system — 10,000 t per year under ISO-certified quality management.
